  I think the point of all this business of people working in Libya is a bit of a red herring.
  What it really has highlighted is the incompetance of her majesties government to provide support and assistance when it is needed.
  It does not need to be oil workers it could be any group of british subjects who by the look of it will have to rely on other friendly governments to provide protection as they surely cannot count on there own government.
  I mean it is farcical for this lot to scrap the nimrod programme and the like in the name of greater efficiancy. Greater efficiancy to do what?? Let its people down just when the people need them most.
  Forget all this nonsense about it being greedy oil workers and concentrate on the fact Her Majesty's august government could not arrange a simple charter flight to pick up its subjects in there hour of need.
  P.S.
  The best we could do in maritime terms was to divert a ship that was on its way back home to be scrapped. "RULE BRITIANIA"
