  times have changed and our annual sweetener to them is not having the same effect.
  
  they have a plethora of multi billionaire business chaps/chapesses that actually buy out british businesses and actually help to employ our people.
  
  i am sure that there are still people in rural areas working for next to nothing, however in the commercial centre of bombay there is a growing middle class that are doing alright.
  
  i get calls from them most days reminding me of how wonderful british telecom and various banks are, i find it endlessly fascinating to listen to them trying to pronounce my name.
