Two men have been charged with burglary following a shooting at a farm in Leicestershire, police have said.
The pair, aged 27 and 33, have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The arrests followed an attempted break-in by four men at an isolated farm in Welby, near Melton Mowbray, on Sunday.
The farm's owners Andy Ferrie, 35, and his wife Tracey, 43, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after two men were allegedly shot at.
Mr Ferrie called police early on Sunday morning to tell them he had picked up his legally-owned shotgun after being disturbed by the intruders and fired at them.
He and his wife have been released on bail.
Two other men, aged 31 and 33, arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police were granted extra time to question the suspects and had until the early hours of Wednesday morning to bail or charge any of the six."
