    Do you know the date on that first photo Paul ?

    You can see the pier and there appears to be what looks like an obelisk, or was it a tall chimney ?

    Almost all of the buildings on the coast side of the road (Townwall Street) have gone, apart from the Yacht Club and The Churchill Hotel, it seems.
