Havn't heard anything about custom cars making a racket up there at Whitfield until now but I have seen the motorcycles do a 'ton' up there near Barham on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.
It comes with the territory as there is a great motorbike shop there and the bikers gather there in the summer months on said days for a fry-up and a mug of tea, then some do the 'ton' bit. PaulB and I went there for umpteen years for his various bikes etc but we were never in the 'ton' bit, I swear
In the old days, in another world we used to go to our local Boxhill in Surrey to see all the fabulous bikes and watch them tear down the strait there, very exciting stuff. This wasn't a residential area and the police were always near by but they tended to turn a blind eye at times.
Post 12, I agree with entirely, it's a great pity if noise levels interfere with ones personal space and racing around River is not acceptable at all.
