I think it's been posted about before but is there anything that can be done to stop the gathering of fast, custom cars on ground behind McDonalds at Whitfield.
I watched them drive off for their "circuit race" and it was frightening to see the start speed.

It's a problem for other drivers if they get in their way. I really don't see how it's acceptable.

If they are gathering for a road-race, then it's illegal and the Police should be informed.
Is it every day at the same time Penny, or just certain days/times ?

Another problem is the bikers on Sunday mornings on the A2 between Coldharbour Lane and the Shepherdswell lights, and particularly on the A256 between Whitfield and the Barville roundabout. I'm not saying they're racing but two abreast at well over 120 mph kind of looks like it.

If they are disturbing people, or creating problems, or being where they should not be, the police should be asked what can be done. It will only get worse if ignored.

I think there are motorbike racers on the A256, at certain times of day we hear constant noise from them, echoing what Peter says.

I cant see a problem with custom cars meeting up if they are going to behave but yes racing off making a menace if a pain prehaps there should be a organised car club meet once a month of something and the event policed im in a American car club and we have had no problems with complains due to recklessness so like i say there should be a club to monitor people because yes some people do have great cars and should be allowed to show them off but under supervision

Havn't heard anything about custom cars making a racket up there at Whitfield until now but I have seen the motorcycles do a 'ton' up there near Barham on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.
It comes with the territory as there is a great motorbike shop there and the bikers gather there in the summer months on said days for a fry-up and a mug of tea, then some do the 'ton' bit. PaulB and I went there for umpteen years for his various bikes etc but we were never in the 'ton' bit, I swear
In the old days, in another world we used to go to our local Boxhill in Surrey to see all the fabulous bikes and watch them tear down the strait there, very exciting stuff. This wasn't a residential area and the police were always near by but they tended to turn a blind eye at times.
Post 12, I agree with entirely, it's a great pity if noise levels interfere with ones personal space and racing around River is not acceptable at all.
