  one of the social events of the season like henley, glyndebourne, ascot and wimbledon.
  
  not heard a dicky bird about whether there is one this year.

  it has been cancelled due to the economic down turn and government cut backs.in other words no paramedic cover because of staff shortages and queing out side hard pressed a & e's.

  Is it true it's been cancelled? I was in the Bull earlier and those taking part were still going in.

  Big turnout on Dover Beach today Howard. Lots of people enjoyed watching in the sunshine and the madhatter dippers were in great form. Not so many women i thought this year and the funny costumes were fewer but still great fun all round. Ive put up some pictures on the Sea News page.
