i think with the chap from hong kong it is understandable if he told nobody where he was going but the rest are likely to be british or french which makes it strange that their names have not appeared on a missing persons list.

They might be persons trying one way or the other to get to the uk to live but did not make it, some were taken by boat from France some years ago so I was told and was landed on the Goodwin sands and told they were in the UK and left there by the boat owner to drown I do not know if that story is true or not.
