I am a back-bench Councillor, not a Cabinet member, nor Leader or Deputy, so therefore not a Leading Conservative Councillor.
My views on this have always been personal not political, so why you should say I've change is beyond me.
Bob has not made lots of derogatory statements, I understood he made one before and I'm not going down that road.
Whatever decision is made about Bob, you won't let it ride or draw a line under it, you will drag it up at every opportunity - you know you will, so you're not kidding anyone.
I agree Bern that when you are elected as a Councillor, you have to be very careful, so I am saying and have always said, this was not a particular nasty racist comment (not meant to be either), more of a throw-away comment that was picked up by the Press and a mountain grew out of a molehill.
