This is about pensions which the rest of the public sector are having to cope with.
So why should the high paid medical mafia be treated better?
Not a good one to highlight Keith with your persuasions
Watty
My thoughts PW........
And I can't imagine the highly paid docs will have that much sympathy from the downtrodden workers..........

Time some of the highly paid more senior doctors joined the real world, no sympathy from me.

i hadn't realised doctors got public sector pensions, they earn enough to pay for their own.
There are a few things that this foolish action might make public that doctors might prefer not to reveal!

i must admit that i wasn't that surprised by the figures on that link from sarah.
"basic" indeed!!
the figures published for average take home pay for g.p.'s some time ago was a lot higher.
That can be the case when incentive/bonus payments for achieving various targets are added in , ie immunisation , health checks etc.
Its not a job I would want to do or even could do, the responsibility and the initial workload is phenominal but I just feel it hits the wrong note to be complaining in the current economic climate
