Probably all of the above. I ask myself that if I had been caught up in the riots and the streets were strewn with discarded new trainers, mobiles whatever would I be tempted to pick them up and pocket the goods especially if egged on by mates or embroiled in the 'heat' of the moment?
Firstly it's a big NO to putting a brick through a window or causing malicious damage and after careful consideration it's a NO to picking up anything that wasn't mine. Is that because of my strict catholic upbringing and the fear that we all have to pay for our actions or is it the fear of being caught and the answer is YES.
Kids today don't seem to have any moral upbringing and prison is no longer a deterrent.
So what do we do? I wish I had the answers or even a magic wand...
