Does anyone know why there are 2 big marquees along the road between Castle and St Margarets?

Why would anyone want to be in a marquee at this time of year?

Could be for the ultra marathon race tomorrow? It's been cancelled due to H&S concerns though, so I'm surprised if their race HQ is still up there.

Right or wrong it is not for me to say regarding H&S but surely the organisers know what is safe as do those taking part.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I have some sympathy with the Health and Safety coves on this one, we all go off at them because they seem to put a dampener on so many things but the conditions underfoot up on the cliffs are icy with strong winds forecast for tomorrow. A couple of weeks back two twins fell from there and it is now thought that they may have been blown of the edge by strong winds and if a tragedy happened tomorrow heads would roll at Health and Safety. It seems like most of the competitors will go ahead unofficially tomorrow.

With a large number of competitors still likely to run the various courses all they've actually achieved is to take away course marshalls, first aid points and emergency assistance that would have been located at various points around the course Making the whole undertaking vastly more dangerous.
I'm with Jan when you participate in extreme events you know the risks you are taking.
