This morning I was in Southend and spotted this.
It's actually Margaret Thatcher's eyes. The picture is the first of the Focal Point Gallery's new series of temporary public art works commissioned specifically for the railway bridge. The former Prime Minister's photograph was taken by portrait photographer Norman Parkinson in 1981 and Kingston-based artist John Russell focused on her eyes to create this image on the north side of the bridge.
