Strange isn't it? We've had the world war 2, the cold war, incessant pleadings from politicians in the "free world" berating the likes of North Korea, Burma and China for their restrictions on privacy and free speech. We had Nick and David before they were elected promising a smaller state and an end to labour's plan to hold data on us all and yet here we are faced with yesterday's announcement on this issue.
I think that those who still believe that David Cameron has our best interests at heart had better check into the reality clinic. Oh yes these deluded souls still exist bless them and even, laughably, believe that he is the one to extricate us from the economic mess we find ourselves in caused by the last bunch of muppets.
Having said that my guess is that most people are,
a: blissfully unaware of this story
b: blissfully ignorant of the true implications
    c: couldn't give a damn anyway.

Ironically it was politicians in the mould of Cameron and those like him who caused the very dangers that we are supposed to be terrified of and are putting in place measures which are sure to make life in the UK even more intolerable.

And finally, as an aside, it seems that the government are reaching desperation point with their 1 billion (yep that's right 1 billion) pounds prize for any herbert who can invent carbon capture and storage.
I'm announcing today an even bigger prize for anyone who can bring me the head of a unicorn. I'll give the winner £2 billion.
