  I'm with Jeanne! I don't watch much telly but I caught sight one evening this week of some sort of quiz/game show (don't know what it was) and it caused me to reflect: it was all about gimme gimme, huge cheers and applause at the mention of large sums of money, almost hysteria when someone won something. This kind of thing, along with Big Brother, seem to sum up, for me, some of the things that contribute to a less appealing society. I have no objection to money or the acquisition of same, but it all seems a bit frantic and self/money centred and to be honest left me feeling a bit bilious!
