    Well, thinking about the article a little more. It is not the headlines that are the bug-bear really, but the 'evangelical' fervour-filled few who goad or support, depending on how you view the whole thing, and present sensation starved newspapers (poor wee things) with exactly what they crave...sensation.
    The individuals concerned in the cases mentioned come in for too much chagrin also. Any individual would be lost in this clamour of avowed support.
    All easy meat for the protagonists and publishers. When all the fife-and-drums pass on to their next caper it is these 'mascots' that are left turning on the spit.
