    there is a difference between betting and gambling keith, most people put aside an amount of money they can afford to lose when betting.

    sadly others get caught up and spend the electricity/gas/phone bill money expecting to get a return.

    i used to know the manager of betfred in pencester road who was a keen better on horses, when he was on a run of winners he immediately stopped and kept the money, that is the secret.

    he recounted to me of a customer at his shop that won 200 quid on a machine for an outlay of ten quid, the bloke then proceeded to feed the machine until all his winnings had gone.

    that is an illness rather than a hobby.
