I need to get a new phone and now I am going to be spending a lot more time in Dover and surrounds want to make sure I choose a network with a good signal. I am currently with Virgin and the signal is pretty poor. It is probably because my phone is on its last legs, but during our last visit it spent the whole visit searching and never did find a signal. Recommendations please.

I am with Virgin and have had no problems, they have linked up with Orange to share networks.

I have always been with Vodafone and have had no problems.
Good signal up here in Victoria Park which is where I think that you are buying a flat.
They have recently closed the Vodafone shop in Dover, nearest one Folkestone.

Thank you everyone. It sounds as though they will all work pretty well at Victoria Park. We usually stay at the Marine Parade Premier Inn so maybe it is that building or my phone. Probably my phone because it is has been much more of a problem recently than it used to be.
We have had the Victoria Park flat since the end of August, but it will be quite a while before it is properly renovated because we are doing as much as we can ourselves in our spare time and we don't have very much of that.

Vodafone is OK in Dover town but total pants in the villages and never any signal at all at Kingsdown/St Margarets, just the French networks.
