I have just read your blog and am shocked. I know there is incompetence in any large organisation but to experience this high level of incompetence at such a difficult time for yourself and your family is the stuff of nightmares. I wish you and your family all the best and hope for a good recovery for your mum.

I wonder what the high level of management wages and bonuses actually contribute to the NHS. If nothing else, management should be ensuring a paper trail, thus ensuring clinical records and bedside charts are maintained. As you suggest, these appear to be simply a demonstration to demonstrate that they are doing something, when in fact it simply demonstrates that failures are endemic within the organisation. And failure starts with poor management; feeding down to disheartened staff, poor moral, and a bad job as a result. It is such a shame to see the NHS in such a state; it is even more of a shame to inflict this shambles on vulnerable and sick people.
