This joyous cavalcade of 190 or so decorated motor vehicles passed through Dover this morning on the first leg of their 5 day driving rally to Benidorm.
Great fun to see them all along Dover's seafront and going round several times in an attempt to find their way to the Eastern Docks.

If ever there was needed an example of how ineffectual the new A20 smart system has been in producing the 'connectivity' been seafront, town and port - this was a pretty good show.
I watched car after car after car from this cavalcade exit Marine Parade by the Premier Inn onto the A20 in an attempt to get to the Docks. Going round several times in their search (they could see their destination clear and simple right in front of them all the time) they became more and more amused at our road system.
Having failed to achieve their goal they finally twigged that doing a 'U' turn at the Woolcomber lights would be the answer. Most of the cavalcade took this route. 'U' turn after 'U' turn on several changes of the lights.
I rest my case.
