  as you can see the tyres of the vehicle and the piece of road immediately surrounding are covered in mud.

  Its probably been parked in that spot for a while,parked whilst the mud was still wet.As its dried its just fell off.Doubt if you would see tyre tracks as its probably been driven some distance.

  He drove up with wet muddy tyres, you can just about see the marks on the road, maybe the mud fell off as they dried???????

  apparently it arrived yesterday morning and has not been moved since.
  
  i took these photos this afternoon after walking down from ropewalk field through clarendon field and got home with my boots unmarked, it is bone dry up there.
  
  where did the driver find any mud to bring back?

  It was probably hauled out of a muddy ditch, placed on the back of a lorry, carried to it's present location and then off loaded by a hoist.
  
  It looks rather angry and is a Frontera ( wild Frontier) so if Davy Crocket lives locally.........he's the culprit!
  
  
  p.s. Looks like Dover is building on it's brown field sites...building affordable homes, no doubt.
  Do nothing and nothing happens.

  could be the case bob but i would expect a vehicle to be muddied on one side or front only in that situation.

  Been there about three weeks was there on the 22nd February when we had Bingo, person lives in Westbury must work away, he has parked on my disabled wheelchair access more than once, its a pain in the a***, no consideration for anybody.

  it may have been around for ages but never in that state until yesterday, wasn't aware of the front lights being illegal.
