Also (sorry Lesley ), I found that the C/E Christ Church in Folkestone Road has been ripped down, even though it was in a pristine condition (dating from 1848).
I remember this church standing and passed it every day and can testify it was in excellent condition.

The house of Windsor did not step in to defend this church, and through my eyes as one who lives in Western Dover, that what you sacrifice you lose, and the house of Windsor lost its claim to Christ's Church and its title of Defender of the Faith.
I live in Western Dover and see it through my eyes as a Dovorian.
I see the Fair Lady's Church every day, it indicates the road to Christ's Church Foundations for the House to be rebuilt.

Another important church is St.Martin's in Canterbury, where King Ethelbert founded the English Church in honour of Christ after his marriage to the Christian Princess, later Queen Bertha, who carried the Gospel in her hands to Kent.
