I think I shall be leaving town via Castle Hill or Jubilee Way for a while!

The Terrace will become a rat run again with motorists trying to beat the queue. It's pointless as the traffic light by the Sportsman has only a minimum green time.

And thus the misery begins. London Road down to one lane at Cherry Tree. Coombe Valley Road closed. Temporary traffic lights on a go slow. Happy days.

Rather miffed this afternoon, took nearly 20 minutes to get up town to find coombe valley (fair enough they told us that) but london rd is down to one lane causing all the delays, because the gas company are using it to park there vans!!!

This is what happens when there is only one road out of town, surely it will be quicker to go via Castle Hill or Jubilee Way.

I was thinking of those who were going to River or Canterbury.
I still think our one way system is flawed, think of the past traffic problems whenever there is a problem along the High Street or London Road.

So the misery continues. The Terrace continues to be a rat run. The worst offenders being taxi and delivery drivers. At last the authorities have listened to the residents and placed a belated sign in the road. At least two residents have near misses with speeding cars.
Another sign at the bottom by the junction might help.

PS The road is empty because I was standing in the middle of it much to the annoyance of the Yodel man.
