  We may not dress in sequinned Basque
  nor in high heels and skin-toned tights
  a little common courtesy is all we ask
  we are each human with human delights
  
  To link arms all in a line is not our task
  how we perform is not to kick our heights
  in Brucey's star-light we might not bask
  at hearth and home we spend our nights
  
  And yet Tiller Girls we are, of sorts
  and an esential job we do
  we'd far prefer chat to gruff retorts
  As if you were we, would you.
  
  We are all in this together
  as you shop so must we
  "How are you this weather?"
  "How pleasant can YOU be?"
