It is now illegal, I would love to see how they go about enforcing it though, it will be near impossible.

Easy-peasy - password protected and you'll need a login which you get by buying a licence.

That would be incredibly expensive to setup, I have 3 internet connected devices as does my partner and we have a tv licence at home, how do you stop my password being used on a smart phone being used by a stranger in scotland but allow me to use it on holiday in Cornwall on my laptop while our daughters is at home on the pc. The technical challenge would be staggeringly complex and the cost prohibitive.

They also struggle to enforce the current licence rules, they just keep sending letters.

Mid morning when I want to catch up the news I watch BBC World on Astra 1, adverts and all.
It's far better than that awful Victoria Derbyshire programme which gets more like " Loose Women" every day.
