    I met Billy Butlin once in the early 1960's but I was not of an age when he was of much interest to me although I knew his name and what he looked like.

    I think Billy Butlin had an interest in the Channel swims and that was how my father-in-law knew him as he was interested as well but that was long before I knew him.
