Really sorry is this is the wrong forum for such a request but I could I ask if anybody knows, or perhaps lives near to, Barbara ?
I used to work with her many years ago in Reading and I know her dad was a police officer in the Berkshire Constabulary...I am currently doing some research on the old Constabulary and it would be great to speak again and also perhaps ask a few questions re my research.
I believe that Barbara and her husband Philip moved to the Dover area some years ago....any help gratefully received.

Thank you so much for this info. I suppose that I really wanted to know that she is ok before I attempted to make contact as it must have been the late 1960's since I last saw her and a lot can happen in that time. I can only hope that she will not mind me making contact (if indeed this is the lady), and I think it must be.
Do you happen to know if her husband's name is Philip....if it is, this would narrow things down a bit.
I worked with her in Reading 1964 -8 and she was the kindest, most helpful person you could wish to meet.

Yes, it is indeed Philip. He is the treasurer of the League of Friends of Buckland Hospital and a former Inland Revenue man!

Yes, that all fits. Circa 1964, I believe that Philip was working as a Tax Inspector with IRO, whilst Barbara and I worked for the Ministry of Public Building & Works in nearby buildings at Whiteknights Park in Reading.
