    i haven't been to any event in pencester gardens where the music has been too loud, besides they finish early.

    the music from the fair is definitely to loud and goes on later.

    years ago john goodwin used to run a series of concerts on a sunday afternoon which attracted a core attendance of about 30 all aged in their seventies and eighties who thoroughly enjoed the music that was tailored to their taste.
    attendances could not imprve due to the lack of promotion, it was word of mouth only that brought the people there.
    going by memory john left the town council and not long afterwards the concerts stopped.

    i queried on here why the concerts were not advertised and was advised by a town councillor that all details were on the town council website!!!
