    you have maintained all along that the blues had no interest in who would be the next reds leader.

    now you have backtracked and said that ed would have been the preferred opponent of the blues.

    should ed be a "tool of the unions" it may be to the advantage of the reds, many of the people sacked by the blues will be in public sector union, not only that the public will see ed as being on the side of the underdog.

    this perception has been missing under the auspices of tony and gordon, could be interesting times over the next year or two.

    i suspect the back room boys at central office are mulling this over as i type.
