I have to admit to not liking badgers since having had one in between my 'inner and outer' tent whilst camping in Farthingloe (Bluebell) woods, as a teenager. Up until that point I had always thought that they wore glasses and read books...you lied to me Kenneth Grahame!

Perhaps we should assign the fox hunting elite to this task? At least they would find some ineffective way of 'wiping out' this verminous threat...whilst at the same time creating an amusing dress code to suit.

I suggest Laura Ashley dresses, with jodhpurs, cowboy boots and Viking helmets. 'Horse and Hound' would love it, rural jobs would thrive and this 'countryside threat' would be annually reduced by 5 per 60 participants (excluding dogs).

All hunt 'calls' could be played on ukuleles to the melody of Jerusalem.
