The post you are reporting:
Keith, the facts are clear: owning and operating a commercial entity can be two different aspects.
Community ownership of the Port is presented, in my representation, as the Port being owned by the Community of Dover Town or Dover District.
The Council represents the administrative body of the Community (town or district, whichever).
As Local Government, it is elected democratically for a period of years, and its officers are employed.
But operating, or running, the Port, has nothing to do with a Council carrying out these functions, but much more to do with a qualified board, as is DHB.
Unfortunately you cannot grasp this.
That said, the other day you still had not grasped an essential aspect of the DPPT proposal, which is a debt of several hundred million pounds to be made out and lent by the banking sector and which the Port would have to repay.
DPPT managers even refused to answer your question on this, as they have explained it many times and you ought to have come across it on the Forum on Port threads.
Similarly, I'm just repeating myself as you continue to fail to grasp something I've explained tens of times regarding my own proposals on Port ownership.
However, Keith, publicly misrepresenting someone's proposals can be annoying.
