There are a number of issues outstanding here and worthy of discussion;
1; There appears still to be a fear of whats to happen with assets if and when the peoples port gains control
2; Im unaware of the £400million debt alexander talks of, can this be explained please.
3; Surely UKIP would want to talk to everyone in the best interests for Dover, rather than cherry picking people to talk
to and maybe no getting the full picture.
4; I;m sure the peoples port guys(like many other organisations) are in regular contact with the Govt to think otherwise
puts you in cloud cuckoo land, the govt wouldn't be doing it's job if it wasn't talking to all interested parties on the
future of the port.
5; Councils don't have any dosh so would be the last ones to push to be in control of the port, nor have the expertese to
run such a big venture.
