The fact that the Government is not intent on implementing my proposal, does not mean it is off the table. It is there as an alternative option.
Indeed, a U-turn Government may well decide after all to implement it. What counts, Neil, is that the Public are aware from whom this proposal came, and it is not from DPPT.
The £400 million debt-scheme for Dover Port which the "people's port" proposed, will not be accepted by the Public, nor by any government.
When you thought it up, Neil, sometime prior to the 2010 General Election, and possibly prior to the 2008 financial crash, governments were still embarking on grandiose schemes to increment debt; but since then, things have changed.
The Public know how the situation is now, Neil, and will avoid your £400 million debt scheme proposal like the Plague.
