Peter, the DfT informed me that DPPT's participation was in the Public Consultation, as was that of many others, including myself. I've published this on the Forum and in my latest article on Dover People's Port Trust 2013.
But the DfT have not at all mentioned any ongoing dialogue with DPPT. There is no such dialogue that is of any interest to the Public, else the DfT would have stated this, or DPPT would have given public proof of it. You haven't!
Dover Port is not up for sale, and the DfT told me that if the DHB transfer scheme had been approved, then, and only then, could DPPT have had the possibility - along with any other bidder - to put forward their offer.

As for UKIP, just forget it, they won't enter into any dialogue with "the people's port".
