I won't disagree with you Howard because I have not read all the small print.
The privatisation option remains in the Act. What we have today is a rejection of the DHB option put forward.
Now it is for the community with the Minister & DHB to arrive at a solution within the present legislation or amend it.
What should not happen is the current situation that sterilises Dover's development.
DHB are sitting on non Port related operational assets that help move Dover forward. Their release & future proofing Port development is vital. The right scheme without prejudices can bring community & economic benefit to Dover.
Small minded approaches will leave us isolated.
Dover port is an International asset. We just need to use it better so everybody benefits.
