Back from Spain

  We have just got back from a great week away staying at a mate and his wife new home in Spain,it was a great week,weather was good, they did get it bad a few weeks ago ,and homes and roads got washed away, we did see some of that,and will cost millions of euros to get it put right again,the home of my mate missed it but the fields at the end of the road he is in got washed away and all the trees with it, and the main road had the same done to it.But the workmen are out doing it up again,they have not seen rain like that for 50years or more.I have been reading the forum from there but I forgot my pass word.

  Mr Watkins,It was Almeria.As soon as we can get the funds saved up again ,we will be off back again,because we stay with somone the costs are not so high,and we get well looked after in a great house with a pool and we have a good time,one of our best or even the best we have ever had.

  Thank you very much for saying that Jeane,and that is a big yes both myself and my wife feel alot better for it,it has taken us over 3years to get there to see them,and at last we done it.

  Welcome back Vic, glad you had a nice time. I love Spain but I don't like flying! (makes yer arms ache summat rotten )

  Thank you Jacqui, like yourself we are not good flying,we are looking at driving down next time,but that will take two days and the cost of doing that are high but we will look at it again,we are looking at going back in Jan or Feb next year for two weeks this time,if my mate and his wife can put up with me for that long,and also if we can save up again to get there.I am packing in my v/work soon,and that will give us more time ,but not the funds.Again thank you for your post,glad to know we are not the only ones that are not good in the air.

  don't forget all the stuff you have to remember to take to drive through france vic, plus it would be a very tiring drive.

  Yes you and right about that to,we will see in the new year,but my feeling is that we will fly,or go by boat even and drive from the port in Spain.
