Does anyone know why the BP Garage in Townwall Street is closed? Been like it for a few days I think. I didn't think it was part of the new shopping mall? They revamped the shop just a few months ago.

Not profitable anymore. Loss of trade due to op stack and reduced visitors to the town.

Just try getting into Folkestone road garage at a busy time, its just not big enough for the amount of users. If theres a few using the cashpoint and some waiting to pay for fuel whilst someone holds up the que buying various lottery tickets etc the garage comes to a standstill.Crabble was a good sized garage and its a shame it shut.

Crabble was not exactly quiet either, the pumps always seemed to be in use.

okay, so now it seems it's going to go, I wonder what the Ryelands will do with the plot. Sell it as part of the new shopping mall??

Noticed there is a planning application for Change of Use to Vehicle Hire on DDC site regarding the BP on Townwall. Does anybody know more details?
A clear conscience is the sure sign of a bad memory.
