due to the resignation of the subpostmaster the branch in st giles close will close "temporarily" at 12. 30 pm on the 15th of march.
the post office are looking at ways of providing a service in future but much depends on whether they see it as financially viable.

oh dear,what are the elderly going to do now,a lot from sunney corner get there pensions from there.

not enough of them by the look of things, the post office might consider asking a sub postmaster from a nearby branch to open for a few hours every now and then to fit in with likely demand.

about 3/4 of the estate use it howard,

surprised to read that brian i would have thought it would have been viable then.
a lot of the sub post offices are important to the elderly as sometimes it is the only point of contact to some.

yes howard,with 506 houses on the estate it is well used.the postmaster is retiring and selling the shop to some one from London,who is not intrested in taking over the post office bit.
