RESIDENTS OF AYCLIFFE:
There is a meeting on Thursday 10 July at the Church Hall starting at 7pm.
This is to discuss a play area for the children of the estate, There will be people from DDC in attendance.
We need your input please come its important.
Unless you want us old farts to make the decision for your children.

I live at Aycliife and that Article sums it up. Over three years ago we succeeded in a petitioning for money to provide extra parking at Aycliffe. Took over a year for a walk round with DCC councillors during which time I mentioned lack of community centre, drop kerbs, community garden and the lost of play parks.
When I last e-mailed the councillors about a month involved about a month one said he cannot remember what I asked for, they took notes and another said that he was surprised by lack of progress on the parking..
You can see why we have lost faith in DCC

I can understand having Ran a youth football club in the area.
Which used , what was the then the church hall to do bingo .
Sadly these facilities slowly disappeared
We also offered DDC that we would take over the recreation round, maintain it, put up a changing room to the liking of DDC and colour for DDC
So that we could continue on the league .
All rejected by DDC
We ended up having to withdraw .
When you bear in mind we were taking off the street around 20 children and giving them organised sport it's sad.
Sometimes you have to look outside the box
