OK I know it's a play on words but a Brit who moved to Australia with his family as a boy of six has been deported back to the UK after committing a string of crimes. Clifford Tucker was put on a plane to London despite having lived in Australia for more than 40 years. Tucker, 47, served 12 years in jail for three crimes including the attempted murder of a police officer came to the attention of Australian immigration officers on his return from a holiday in Bali in 2008.
He has been in trouble with the law since the age of 11and in 1983 he was jailed after opening fire on a police officer, seriously wounding him. The Aussies gave him £2500 to tide him over in London but after that the UK taxpayer will be forced to foot the bill until he gets a job.
UKIP's Gerard Batten said last night: "Its absurd that this man is being sent from Australia after 40 years. But it highlights the absurdity that we cannot deport foreign criminals who have been here for five minutes."

Surely we had to agree to take him back ?
I thought that was the problem with us deporting foreigners back to their own country - their own counttry didn't want them.
I seriously don't agree with this. We are steering towards a situation where decent people, who have worked all their lives, have been prudent with their money, are being encouraged (by default) to move abroad for a better quality life and Britain is being filled with ne'er do wells.
What will it be like here in 25 years time ? bloody awful - I won't be here to see it thank goodness, but for the future of our Country, we MUST change direction.

He never took up Australian citizenship so being patrial he has the right of abode and we have to re-admit him.

The criminal that Australians deported, Clifford Tucker, has been one long pub crawl since his return. Thanks to a £16,000 'deportation loan' from the Canberra government, he has booked himself into a central London hotel and spends his days downing pints of lager.
The 47-year-old, who was convicted of trying to murder a police officer, will be eligible for thousands of pounds in housing benefits and jobseeker's allowance, for which he is already filling in the application forms.

As it is described as a loan, it would have to be paid back - he doesn't sound like the sort of waster who will even attempt to pay it back.
Why are we looking after the World's scroungers and rubbish ?

It is a loan but he has already told the press he has no intention of repaying it furthermore he added that when he's drank his way through that he expects the UK taxpayer to pick up his bill.

Thanks Marek - and we naturally naturally go along with him - paying him our hard-earned money so he can pi55 it up the wall.
As he has purposely made himself in this state, the state should not help him; a complete waste of space.

i wonder how much the papers are paying him for his story.
