A religious fanatic of Biddenden:
"During Divine Service on Sunday last, a religious fanatic paraded the town (of NEW ROMNEY) with his hat in one hand and a book, supposed to be the Bible, in the other, calling on the inhabitants to prepare themselves against the 'Northern Army' and other like expressions.
After taking a circuit through the town, he entered the church in the midst of the service where he remained till the conclusion; and then departed towards Lydd.
He was dressed in a white frock and blue trousers.
His long black hair flowed wildly on his shoulders.
It appears his name is George MUNDAY and he is a shoemaker with a family at Biddenden."
