    The 'One' is Bishop Nicholas of Smyrna (now Turkey), 4th Century AD, a very rich and generous man who loved children and gave presents by throwing them (the presents that is) through their windows. Then there is the Dutch elf Sinter Klaas brought over by immigrants to America from the Netherlands, eventually 'americanized' then turned into Santa Claus as we know him by the media dept at Coca-Cola for an advertising campaign.

    So, It's a Fact, the Whole World believes in 'Advertising'. Oops! I meant Father Christmas : )
