    Totally ineffective, thelandlord of the pub doesn't know whether somebody has an ASBO and the police will only get involved if the ASBO holder causes a disturbance. Most licensees are reluctant to call the police in case it reflects upon them relying on the more traditional method of chucking somebody out. The latter is the most effective especially if you have a step leading in to the pub that they'accidntally' trip over.
