  Frankly I think the idea is lame in the extreme. Anyone who thinks for one second that it will prevent drunken yobs from ruling the town is naive to the point of lunacy. ASBOs are no real threat against unruly behaviour and any reports that they are successful are based on the pathetic use of the ASBO against, say, an old granny who left rubbish in her front garden for too long rather than a genuine menace to society.
  
  You are not going to change drunken youth culture with this hopeless attempt at "being seen to do something". It's akin to trying to stop a charging bull with a feather.
