As nutty as a fruit cake

  Not this is not about Vic again,sorry Vic,but at De Bradelli Warfe Dover Lions are selling there famous Christmas cakes every Saturday and Sunday.They start from £3.50 and go to £6.00 and all profits go to local Lions charities.
  
  There are not just Christmas cakes but Dundee Fruit and Nut Stem Ginger and even 2 sorts of diabetic cakes that are selling like well hot cakes.Yesterday they sold 75 and over 30 this morning.They will be selling them unto December or until they run out.
  
  The Lions have sold these cakes for years and they are made by a baker who I believe is in Lincolnshire and he supplies cakes to many Lions clubs,and we have never had a complaint,so if you go down to De Brad go and try a sample and buy a cake or 5......
  If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

  Great news John - stick one of the ginger cakes and a dundee fruit cake aside for me - I will get down next weekend - they are fantastic and terrific value

  Yes it is that time of the year folks and yes they are great cakes, and John I am nutty and you will have to aske the wife if I am fruity but I do not think so.

  at the risk of being a wet blanket, could not a dover baker be producing the lovely cakes?
  
  i realise that the lions are a national organisation, surely other branches would be thinking along local lines too.

  Tried that Howard.didnt work out but this baker makes them for lots of Lions Club keeps costs down
