  Just popped in to the garage to check tyre pressures to find out that there is now a "minimum vend" for air! As if the sharks who run our oil companies are not making enough money. Along with insurance companies, these guys have got to be the biggest profiteers of all.

  i always used to do mine at home, much more likely to be a correct reading.
  
  a) the cold one is likely to be more accurate.
  b) the ones at the petrol stations can be bashed around a bit causing them to be less accurate, so i was told.

  Funnily enough I put air into my tyres 2 days ago but it was free I can't believe garages are charging 50p. Kids won't bother resulting in more accidents.
