Mrs Elphicke has always replied when I've written to her, but she only ever supports the Party, and is blind to any contradictory evidence. She won't step out of line for this.
BUT it's necessary for anyone who opposes the development to let her know this, even if you think it's a done deal. At least she gets to find out just how many of her constituents are contra, and she is supposed to be representing us NOT the government. Besides, it'll make work for her and perhaps (more importantly) give her a sense that her seat isn't the walkover she thinks it is.
Not writing is simple bone-idleness, given how easy it is nowadays.
