I have not been going up there a lot this year because of my heath .
But still following them on line etc.
But for the club to move up they must go full time so the players can train more with each other which is better then what they do now ,but does the boss of the club want that to happen,? or are they happy to just do what they have done over the pass two years, they play good against the better clubs then they do against clubs which are low in the league.Lets face it I do not think they will get in the play offs and if they did ,they are just not good enough to go up. It may be the club does not have the funds to go full time ,looking at the gates of some of the other clubs in the league they getting gates of over 4000 and that is the kind of numbers Dover needs to get the right kind of funds in to pay full time players. how do other members feel about it if they care or follow the club./?

I go fairly often. This season I have seen very good and very bad performances. As you say Dover need bigger crowds to fund a full time team if they are to progress. Dover is a smallish town without a great footballing history so its not easy to attract big crowds. Having said that there is always a great atmosphere at Crabble when we're winning.

I agree but if the club is to move on then it needs to go full time or may be the club needs a full time manger he has done a lot and without him coming in when he did the club would not be where they are now.But he works full time at a school so he cannot gave Dover 100% all the time,I am not saying get rid of him just to move over keeping him on the playing staff and get a new full time young manger who can gave more time to the club and find new players but he would need to have the funds to buy them. But if they stay as they are the crowd they get now will over time go to other clubs Like Brighton who will be in the top league does not take long to get there and if you take 3 or more in a car the cost will be low.In my way of thinking when the football ends in two weeks time the top boss must sit down with the other members and work it out.Way back in the 1950 when we was only in the Kent League we would get over 3000 just to see Ashford you still paid to get in.

The club is at a crossroads now.
Kinnear and his tactics can reach the upper half of the Conference table, but probably no further.
To get to the Football League requires a full time manager (the players are already mainly) and more investment from Parmenter and his pals.
Which way will he go?

well sir you are saying what I said in my post.As I think the manager now needs to move over and a full time younger person take over or Dover is going no where but downwards again. As I have already said some supporters will now be heading down to Brighton to see the real big clubs they support.I hope to be one of them to see Stoke.

Let's say for example the club did get promoted to Division 2 and in August they had a full time management team and playing squad, bearing mind increased admission prices how many people would need to go through the turnstile on average per match?

I would think about 4000 but it is not the only way they get funding.

There's no chance of anywhere near 4000 being attained. Only Billericay's new chairman would think that.
1000 is the current figure the chairman budgets for I think. With extra away supporters 1500 upwards can be reached.
The club needs to bring in more money from the Centre Spot and sponsorship.

My guess would be the club needs to hold it's current level for a few seasons and concentrate on building its supporter base and it's income streams before considering a real bid for full time status. Never an easy problem much like any small business trying to expand, fraught with difficulties

I was at the game last night, a poor crowd with an air of resignation that reflected the players attitude, they didn't start playing until the last ten minutes.
I first watched Dover in 1968, I've seen crowds of 300, this is as good as it gets. As everybody at Crabble knows Kinnear subscribes to the Wimbledon approach of hoof and chase, he thinks it works but clearly it'll only get you so far.
I'd like to see Jake Leberl get the job.

I think we all agree time for him to move over he has a full time job anyway and you can not do both the football is just hobby to him which he gets good pay.
