  As an Englishman I have never encountered any problems with foreigners (although looking at the news they seem to be perpetually capable of practising unimaginable acts of cruelty on each other).
  
  As long as one is friendly and treats them as human beings who usually happen to be a little bit browner and smaller, and a great deal poorer than the rest of us, one rarely finds problems.
