I do not know if this is true, but I hope not.
I have been told by a person in the know that the D.H.B. is dragging sand away from the Goodwins sands then loading on to a ship and bring it back to Dover to use in the new build,if and I say if this is true they must be stopped and there might be case for them to be taken to court. But is it true? I was told the name of the ship ,but wrote it down now cannot find it.

I was told because the sands are always on the move that it is easy to drag sand away from the main block then take it without even being notice because of the movment in the sand.

I can assure you Vic they are not, your person in the "know" is either lying to you or being lied to! Or just plain shit stirring.

You could be right sir,but I think it will need the D.H.B. or a member of it to back up what you are saying. I have always been behind the DHB and what they are still doing to the port ,but not with taking sand from a war grave.
Must say sir the person who told me is no lier nor a fool, but that does not mean they was not told a lie, but you must agree it would be easy to do it that way, I did not even think of it.But could it be done without the D.H.B. knowing,?I do not know about any of it.

Maybe whoever started the rumour was taking the Micky out of the gullible.

What utter rubbish - really takes the biscuit; it would require the connivance of the owner of the sands (the Crown Estates Commissioners) and of the transporter and, as Mr Barrington says, none is so stupid as to go behind the back of the MMO.
